Bankroll Management for Beginners

In this paper I shall deal with the bankroll management and demonstrate the importance of a good bankroll management.
The bankroll is the amount that a player has available to play poker.
There are many players who buy in spite of good skills and knowledge in areas much too high. With "zuhoch" both games are meant to be a great buy-in as well with lots of strong players, which of course in larger buy-ins will be forced to be the result.
Many players see that can be obtained at higher levels, the big money and can be blinded by that fact and turn on the variance factor (see later post) from all over.
To avoid this in the following I will bring some examples and show the reader how important a good bankroll management.

Basically you can say that you should never buy more than 5% of his bankroll in a game, this refers to the cash game. You should be in course of time his stack to 10% of the bankroll has expanded, it is advisable to leave the table, because otherwise too much money in the entire bankroll in play at once.

Example: Bankroll $ 1000 cash game in the game $ 50? Double Up on leave $ 100 = Table

In tournaments, a slightly different approach.
In tournaments, you should never use more than 1-2% of his bankroll. A distinction also between the so-called Sit and Go's, usually with 9 or 10 players and big MTTs (Multi Table Tournaments) with several tables and players.
Sit and Go's, you could use up to 2% of his bankroll while you should put in MTT's because of the higher variance of only 1% of his bankroll on the line, because we here quite a few times can be eliminated without cash, and usually a significant part has lost his bankroll.

Example: For sit and go should be a return on investment (ROI) of 10% - 15% can be achieved, however, where this is seen in MTT's is slightly different and you only statistically every 7-8 times the money comes .
This may correspond to a ROI of 2% or even 400% if you win a tournament. We see here very clearly that the range / variance in MTTs is much larger than that of Sit and Go's.

Due to bankroll management clearly specify what limits you should play and which not.
If you want to have long term success in poker, one should necessarily adhere to a strict and at the beginning, conservative bankroll management.
If all this is met, the risk of "broke" (dt bankruptcy) is going to be very low and you can reduce the risk of total loss of his bankroll to almost 0%.
